1944 Opel Blitz 6700A

Another arrival from Europe . This time a 1944 Opel Blitz four wheel drive.

One of 25,000 built and a survivor from Austria that served postwar as a fire truck.

After many years in fire engine collections in Germany the truck will gradually be brought back to its war time specification as a cargo truck.

For the short term the Blitz will have its front panels rebuilt then resprayed its original Ordnance Tan. A reconditioned clutch and motor will also be fitted.
