About 'Fostering Kids':

History
The New Zealand Family and Foster Care Federation (NZFFCF) is an approved agency under s403 of the Children Young Persons & Their Families Act 1989 and is an Incorporated Society. The first Foster Care Association was formed in the mid 1970’s. 

In 2011 the NZFFCF changed itsname to that of 'Fostering Kids'. Fostering Kids is the operating name of the NZ Family and Foster Care Federation Inc. Charities Commission Registration Number: CC25139

Membership
The NZFFCF membership consists of  some NZ Foster Care Associations, NZ Fostering Agencies, and Individuals. Membership is free for foster and kinship carers of children under care and protection in  New Zealand. To become a member you must sign a declaration to follow the mission and vision of the organisation.
