Here is an update on the league bringing in the results of the mini-tournament and a flurry of other games that have been played both at the club and at home. Only two months to go so get those results in!!

GAMES WORKSHOP NEWS: : For Warhammer 40K there were some sample models of the new Dark Eldar at Games Day UK recently. The Dark Eldar Codex is supposed to be released in the next few months. There is also the possibility of Space Skaven as well as the already mentioned Necrons - a new robotic race.

For Fantasy Battle the new Chaos army book is imminent, and the word is that Chaos Thugs are back! Sure pays to hang onto those old figures after all!! Look for a re-write of the Chaos Dwarf book next, also bringing some of those old figures back. Finally a Mercenaries army book is to be released detailing some of the old Regiments Of Renown, plus a whole lot of new mercenaries to include in your armies.


LAST MONTH'S GAMES:

 Warhammer 40K: Kevin Carberry (Orks) beat Bryan Orsbourne (Orks). Bit of a civil war this one with Orks on both sides. Really it was one of those tribal squabbles - Goffs against Bad Moons! Kevin was trying some sneaky stuff and infiltrated some kommandos who wasted my gretchin in one turn. However I was ready when he sent his stormboyz flying in and we gave them a bit of a seeing to in return. A great game with a lot of Orky stuff happening.

Warhammer 40K: Jarrod Finlay (Imperial Guard) beat Allister Nicholas (Space Wolves). The Space Wolves closed in destroying the Imperial Guard heavy weapons teams. The Imperial Guard where so startled that they couldn't hit what they were aiming at! The only thing they managed to do was destroy my attack bike in a ball of flame. Space Wolves carried on closing in, killing Guardsmen as they went. The Imperial Guard withdrew into cover. Jarrod's Hellhound then ambushed my Blood Claws killing seven of them as they were trying to outflank the Imperial Guard. Then on the other flank another Hellhound flamed my Wolf Guard Terminators, killing two of them, but they still managed to wipe out a command section (except the lieutenant). I couldn't complete my mission but it was close. Jarrod's Hellhound fired everything it had at Ragnar Blackmane but Ragnar survived! I managed to get one terminator in to his deployment zone but I still failed Dawn Raid.
