Battle Reports
Bryan Orsbourne (Vampire Counts) beat Andrew Brailsford (Dogs of War). These days all the Dogs of War armies seem to like to include Arsanil on his dragon, and Andrew's army was no exception. That Arsanil guy sure gets around. Anyway having fought against this guy before I have some tactics worked out to beat this damn dragon. Essentially in this game it involved swamping him with summoned skeletons (which he duly killed in the hand to hand combat) and to keep following this up with more and more and more summoned skeletons so all he was able to do all game was chomp through them. As Arsanil and his dragon were a huge chunk of Andrew's army (750 points) this left my entire army to wipe out the remaining 1250pts of his army, which they then proceeded to do.
Ivan Soo (Dwarfs) beat Bryan Orsbourne (Vampire Counts). Damn. there goes my winning streak! This was a close game in the end, but it was probably won in the deployment phase by Ivan when he deployed his entire army as far away from me as possible. He then sat and waited for me to trudge slowly across the battlefield, all the time shooting me full of crossbow bolts, and unloading his organ gun on me. Add in some serious damage he caused to me with a gyrocopter and Ivan had a real game winning plan.
Kevin and Nick (good guys) Vs A Big List of Baddies ( Michael, Manoj, Arthur, and one more) The brave ranks on loyal marines surveyed the host that stood before them. Commander Ramerez did a quick head count, out numbered at least three to one. Well if that's what the cowards needed to make this a fight bring them on. If it's blood they want we will give it to them in spades. Charge!!!!. Well we here kind of out numbered by the combined armies of Korne but the blood bath that followed was truly impressive and just goes to show that you can crack an egg with a sledge hammer.
Kevin Carberry (German) Vs Ken Snow (British) Things began well for the Germans gaining the control of the village (no great surprise the brits lacked transport). Combine with artillery support things where looking good and the the Spitfires turned up and things went to the dogs. the German meager anti aircraft was not up to chasing of a strong attack and the Germans suffered large numbers of causalities. In the middle of this the Germans lost a Panther to a 25 pound field gun just to add insult to injury. battle ended in a draw.
