Battle Reports
NONE
Easter saw the nationals in Hamilton, Bryan, Arthur and I had all entered in the WWII Rapid fire contest. So at 6.30 on Easter Friday we toddled of down to Hamilton. The Convention center was really nice good clean and lots of room in a nice environment. We stared with the usual meet and greet and then got down to so gaming. There where 7 people entered so our umpire Shane had to join in to even out the numbers. There where three German Three British and Two Russian Armies present non of which were over the top.
My first game was against Nick with another German army but mostly Para's. He was the only player to field an airplane and my useless anti aircraft guns could not hit it. Thank goodness for ordinary infantry men with rifles. The five round gun battle between the six tigers was nerve racking as well, neither side could hit the other. But Germany won out in the end. Next up was the British of Shane the umpire. His army was heavy in I.D.F Artillery and he had the worst luck as none of his radios were working. But the loss of two Tigers to his three Grants still gives me nightmares. and there ended day 1
Day 2 - another drive to Hamilton. The Day started with a fight against Arthur ouch is all I will say about that one. That afternoon I was back to fighting Germans with an armored recon company. This battle hinged on my Stugs Charging down his SP Guns and surviving which they did. once again the Germans won.
Day 3 - Hamilton here we come - Started the day fighting the British lovely classic pincer move, sorry Bryan. The final match was against Three Russian Battalions. So many men so few bullets. There was a mad dash for the village but the Germans one and that left the Russians running around in the open, messy.
all in all a good time was had by us three and none of us came home empty handed
