The Forum
Fire Warrior
First off, a few months back I was talking about the PS2 game Firewarrior... well, it's been released, and me, I'm quite impressed with it.
Even on Easy setting it's packed with insanely intense action.
The storyline is decent enough with a few plot-twists to keep things interesting.
Visuals are pretty damn nice too. Top-notch game, I've enjoyed it immensely, and when we finally get the PS2 networking hardware released here (argh!!!) it'll be a VERY good game to multi-play with.
Now all that's left to do is wait for the Return of the King game... sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.
Lord of the Rings mini-tournament
Okay, I'll be needing people to confirm their participation in this event so I can get all the relevant information to them.
Fantasy Campaign
Same deal, I need confirmations of people taking part.
So far I have definates from Damien, Wade, Anthony, Bryan, Arthur, Barry, and John, to my knowledge at least
Club Insignia/Motif
A reminder, I'm still looking for your opinions on what should be used for these. Any and all suggestions can be made to me, all the relevant contact detail is usually included at the bottom of this newsletter
Well, that about covers it this month.
I'll be e-mailing relevant details for the Fantasy Campaign and Lord of the Rings mini-tournament to those confirming their participation in these events individually, as it may include a fair amount of information and take up a lot of space
Cheers

Battle Reports |
Peter Colson (Empire) vs. Robbie Saddler (Empire)
Well, Empire vs. Empire was certainly a new experience for me... hell, this is only the second time I've played against an empire player... EVER!
We both generally decimated each others armies with mortar fire, then proceeded to slug it out in combat.
On my left flank a rather inconclusive Flagellant vs. Flagellant fight was in progress, with me nearly wiping out his flagellants, earning half points for the unit, huzzah!
On the right, things got a bit messy and didn't go too well, what with several units dying.
In all, the game ended up a draw if I recall correctly, and featured such appaling dice-rolling from Robbie that it seemed I was fighting my wargaming clone, same army, same luck.
Peter Colson (Dwarfs) vs. Damien Neems and his treacherous oath-breaking Elves!
A seige game, where the Dwarfs defend. Could this GET any better?
Well, yes, it could, as one of Damien's units outnumbered my entire army, and he had some terrifyingly effective cannons, thanks to me forgetting Dogs of War cannons do D3 wounds per hit, not D6 like Empire Great Cannons... bugger.
Eventually the walls came down, and my dwarfs were fighting over defended obstacles, how could I lose?
Esily, it turned out, when the elves rolled a flurry of 6s to hit and cut down half the dwarfs there, the remainder fleeing, and outpacing the limber elves, ahh the shame of it all!
It was something different, and quite an interesting little game, much hilarity had by all, with most things ending up dying horribly. Oh how we laughed.
That pointy-eared git will get his, just you wait!
